The Incorporated Society of Registered Naturopaths
The ISRN Conference 2008 which was held in the Kingston Coach House, Edinborough, Scotland was considered by all who attended as one of the most interesting and best for many years. It was attended by twenty-two members. With apologies from Peter Fenton, his wife Jean, to whom we wish only the best; and Leslie Harrison. They were sadly missed.
May Thomson was again a gracious host, supplying us with delightful vegetarian meals. A beautiful meal was also arranged at a local vegetarian restaurant on the Saturday evening, at which the Presidential address was made. This also was an outstanding success with all concerned, there being much laughter and camaraderie, felt and expressed.
During the conference there was much lively discussion on the continuation of the education program and how to structure for the future needs of any prospective students and the Society.
An interesting and informative talk on natural childbirth was given by Jean Lapsley's daughter. The conference was also addressed on the sustainability of our planet by the biologist and author Colin Tudge. This was a most thought provoking and stimulating talk, to say the least. We also had the pleasure of being able to share the experiences of doctor Smith.
A heartfelt thanks goes to David Tinsley for enabling us to experience such a great opportunity, for learning and the expansion of our knowledge, and at the same time enjoying a most pleasant occasion.
Thank you David!
The conference closed after the midday meal on Sunday.
